The opera is introduced in a nonlinear style with scenes starting from constructing computer systems in his storage with “Woz” and the product launch of “one revolutionary machine” to extra private moments like a Buddhist wedding ceremony ceremony between Jobs and his spouse Laurene.

“The truth is, Jobs’ seek for internal peace is the story of the opera – which, in a sentence, is a few man who learns to be human once more,” says composer Mason Bates.

Bates makes use of a mixture of orchestra, guitar and digital devices for the music. The libretto is by Mark Campbell.

Since his passing in 2011, there have been quite a few movies, documentaries, and books about Jobs, all of which have met with some sort of controversy or criticism. However opera is sort of a unique medium and may be capable of give perception into a person that only some individuals actually knew.
